Send this to a nursing mum who is currently naviga Send this to a nursing mum who is currently navigating those endless night feeds. 🤍🌙

The 3am version of you deserves so much more appreciation than she ever hears.
The one nursing in the dark with one eye open.
The one checking the clock and wondering how it has only been an hour. 😵‍💫
The one trying not to wake the whole house.
The one who is thirsty, hungry, touched out and completely exhausted. 🥱

Nobody witnesses most of these moments.

There is no applause. No “well done”. Just you, your baby and another feed when you feel like you have nothing left to give.

You might question your supply. You might wonder if your baby is getting enough. You might scroll your phone just to stay awake. 📱

And still, you show up.

Again and again.

You may not remember every single night feed, but your baby is receiving nourishment, comfort and safety in every single one of those quiet moments. 🩷

You are doing far more than you realise, mama. 🌙✨

I remember thinking that if I could just get throu I remember thinking that if I could just get through the birth, I’d be okay.
Birth plan? ✔️
Hospital bag? ✔️
Tiny nappies? ✔️
Actually knowing what life would look like once the baby arrived? Umm… 😬

Because here’s the thing:

Getting ready for labour and getting ready for a baby aren’t quite the same thing.

We spend SO much time preparing for the birth… and some of the things that can make a real difference afterwards barely get a mention.

Like how to prepare your pelvic floor for birth — not just recover it afterwards.
What you can do BEFORE baby arrives to prepare for breastfeeding.
How nutrition can support you going into labour and through recovery.
And why birth, breastfeeding and those early postpartum weeks are far more connected than we often realise.

That’s why I created Getting Ready for Baby — a FREE 3-part live series to help you look beyond labour and prepare for the bigger picture.

📅 19, 21 & 25 October
🎁 Attend live and unlock practical bonus resources
🏆 Prizes to win throughout the event

Do you need to know EVERYTHING before your baby arrives? Absolutely not.

But there are definitely a few things worth knowing BEFORE you’re holding a newborn at 3am thinking, “Ummm… why did nobody tell me this?” 😂

The first month postpartum can feel like one big blur of feeding, broken sleep, recovery and trying to remember when you last ate a proper meal. 😅
And while we can laugh about the chaos, the mental and emotional load of those early weeks can be A LOT.

Between caring for your baby and adjusting to a new routine, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. 🫠

💛 Having support around you can make such a difference.

That might mean delegating household tasks, asking for help with meals or connecting with other mums who understand what you’re going through.

It’s also important to recognise when anxiety, sadness or overwhelm may need professional support. Postnatal depression and anxiety are common, and you deserve help if you’re struggling. 🌿

That’s one reason I created the Postnatal Roadmap membership, bringing together practical postpartum guidance and a supportive community of mums navigating this stage alongside you. 🤱

Preparing to breastfeed? Comment LATCH to learn mo Preparing to breastfeed? Comment LATCH to learn more about personalised support through Let’s Get Latched 🤱🩷

Breastfeeding may involve one person feeding the baby, but it should still feel like a team effort.

Partner support can look like:
🍽️ Bringing meals, snacks and water
🧺 Taking care of household jobs
👧 Looking after older children
🌙 Bringing the baby over for night feeds and helping settle them
🛁 Changing and bathing the baby without being asked
💆 Offering a back or shoulder rub
📣 Reminding her she is doing an incredible job

You do not need to know everything about breastfeeding. Be present, notice what needs doing and help her feel supported rather than watched or judged and putting more “to-do-lists” on her plate. 🤍
