Wondering if what you are experiencing with breast Wondering if what you are experiencing with breastfeeding is actually normal? Comment LATCH below and I will send you details on how we can work together through my 1:1 Breastfeeding Program so you finally get answers from someone who actually knows. 🤍

These are the things I find myself saying over and over again as a breastfeeding dietitian.

And the fact that I say them so often tells you something important.

So many mums are walking around carrying guilt, confusion, and self blame for something that was never actually their fault to begin with. 💗

The misinformation. The lack of support at discharge. The pressure to just push through. The feeling that their body somehow let them down.

It is so common. And it is so unnecessary.

Because most of the time when breastfeeding feels like it is falling apart, there is a real reason behind it. And real reasons have real solutions.

You just need someone in your corner who can actually help you find them. 😮‍💨

The people in your life who give breastfeeding advice genuinely mean well.

But well meaning advice and accurate advice are not always the same thing. 💗

And some of the most common things mums are told about breastfeeding? They are outdated, oversimplified, or just plain wrong.

Things like feed every 3 hours, toughen your nipples before birth, top up with formula so you can rest, or if you are stressed your milk will dry up.

All said with love. All quietly causing confusion, guilt, and doubt at a time when you needed real support instead. 😮‍💨

Swipe through because if you have heard any of these, you are not alone. And you deserve to know the truth behind every single one of them.

You deserve accurate information, not guesswork passed down through generations.

This is your last chance to join my 3 Day Breastfeeding SOS Bootcamp before we start tonight at 6pm AWST.

If this is you right now, comment BOOTCAMP below and I will send you details on my 3 Day Breastfeeding SOS Bootcamp starting 22 June. 🤍

You grew a human for 9 months. You got through labour. You were ready to just exist for a moment.

And then breastfeeding showed up. 😅

And suddenly there is a whole new world of latching, cluster feeding, cracked nipples, milk coming in, not knowing if baby is getting enough milk, and trying to figure all of it out while running on zero sleep and a lot of emotions.

It is a lot. And the fact that it feels hard does not mean you are doing it wrong.

It just means nobody properly prepared you for this part. 💗

Because breastfeeding support should not start when things fall apart at 3am. It should start before baby arrives, so you actually know what to expect and what to do when it gets tough.

That is exactly what my 3 Day Breastfeeding SOS Bootcamp is for.

Ready for support that actually goes beyond “jus Ready for support that actually goes beyond “just keep trying”?

When someone says “breastfeeding is the most natural thing in the world” after you have been cluster feeding for 6 hours straight with a shallow latch and cracked nipples. 🙃🙃🙃

Natural. Sure. 😅

Because nothing says natural like googling “why does feeding feel like broken glass” at 3am while crying into a breast pad.
Breastfeeding can be beautiful. It can also be really, really hard. And the fact that it is hard does not mean you are doing it wrong. It means you needed more support than “it gets easier” advice and a pamphlet from the hospital.

You deserve actual help. Not just reassurance. 💗

Struggling with milk supply and feel like you are Struggling with milk supply and feel like you are doing everything right but nothing is changing?

Comment BOOTCAMP below and I will send you details on my 3 Day Breastfeeding SOS Bootcamp starting in one week on 22 June, so we can figure out what is actually going on. 🤍

Most mums are told that milk supply is purely about how often you feed.

And while feeding frequency absolutely matters, there are things quietly working against your supply in the background that nobody is talking about. 💗

Things like:
🥣 Skipping meals or not eating enough across the day
💧 Not drinking enough water consistently
😮‍💨 Chronic stress and a nervous system that is running on empty
🩸 Nutrient depletion that nobody has thought to test you for

Your body is trying to produce milk while also recovering from birth, running on broken sleep, and holding everything together. When it is not getting what it needs, supply is often one of the first things to feel it.

This is not about trying harder. It is about understanding what your body is actually telling you. 🌿

Because your supply is not just a feeding problem. Sometimes it is a nourishment problem. A rest problem. A support problem.

And when you know what to look for, so much more becomes possible. 🫶

Worried about your milk supply or feeling like bre Worried about your milk supply or feeling like breastfeeding is slipping away? Comment SOS below and I will send you details on my 3 Day Breastfeeding SOS Bootcamp so you can get a real plan in place. 🤍

A drop in milk supply can feel so personal, especially when you have been trying so hard to make breastfeeding work. 💗

But a supply drop does not always mean your breastfeeding journey is over.
Milk supply is strongly driven by demand, which means rebuilding often starts with understanding what actually changed. Because it is rarely just one thing.

Feeding frequency, milk transfer, pumping, stress, sleep, recovery, nutrition, hydration, and the support around you can all play a role. 🌿

And for some mums, relactation is possible too, especially in those early months. But it usually needs a clear, realistic plan and the right guidance around you. Not just “drink more water” or “try harder.” 😮‍💨

If your supply has dropped, please do not sit with the guilt alone.

There may be more options available to you than you have been told.

“It’s not your body. It’s your latch.” 👀
Can I tell you something that surprises a lot of mums?

When breastfeeding hurts, many women immediately assume:
❌ My body is failing.
❌ I don’t have enough milk.
❌ I’m doing something wrong.

But often that’s not the problem at all.

One of the biggest challenges with breastfeeding is that when something isn’t working, nobody hands you a troubleshooting guide 😅

Instead, mums are left trying advice from Google, social media, family, friends and that random person who somehow always has an opinion 🙃

The truth?

Many breastfeeding challenges have a reason.

And when you understand the reason, you can stop guessing and start focusing on what actually matters.

That’s exactly why I created the 3-Day Breastfeeding SOS Bootcamp.

Here is something worth knowing: not all pregnancy exhaustion is just “part of the process.”

Sometimes your body is quietly waving a flag that it needs more support than it is getting right now.

Things like low iron stores, long gaps between meals, blood sugar crashes, restless nights, cramps, and even thyroid changes can all affect how you feel in the lead up to labour.

And when you are already tired and growing a human, it can be
really easy to brush all of that off as normal. 😮‍💨

But feeling constantly wiped out, shaky, dizzy, or unable to get through the day is worth paying attention to.

Because preparing for birth is not only about packing tiny clothes and writing a birth plan.

It is also about making sure you go into labour, breastfeeding and postpartum with your body genuinely supported. More nourishment. More energy. A clearer plan for recovery. 🫶

You deserve to walk into birth feeling as strong and prepared as possible, not just surviving the weeks leading up to it.
